Happy Australia Day!

On January 26 1788 the First Fleet of 11 convict ships from Great Britain arrived at Sydney Cove and commander Captain Arthur Phillip raised the Union Jack. Today Australia celebrates that anniversary as well as celebrating Australia and everything Australian. Many activities today are going to be geared toward fundraising for flood relief. (Information gathered from www.australiaday.org.au)

So, today a couple of Americans will join their new Australian friends to celebrate Australia Day. We have been invited to Wynnum about 25 minutes east of Brisbane on Moreton Bay.
